Did you know dear readers and visitors that the LG PZ550 Plasma 3D TV is not different than its successive higher tier models of PZ750 and PZ950. Almost all of the features, specs and even size availability are all the same. The only thing that you would notice that differentiates the LG PZ550 Plasma 3D TV from its higher sister models is that obviously it has a different model name and the price tag for the LG PZ550 Plasma 3D TV is lower but with mostly the similar features and specs.

Common sense would tell you that getting the LG PZ550 Plasma 3D TV is your best bet to getting the bang for the buck while still savoring the nifty features that the LG PLASMA 3D TV’s can give you.

Everything is so similar that if you are just a common user who don’t know much about LG’s PLASMA 3D TV Lineup, you would barely notice anything. Some of the similar features that were talking about is the 600 Hz refresh rate that even higher tier LG Plasma models also has, and for those that still don’t know about it, the 600 Hz is superb enough that even the top of the line LED and LCD TV widescreen Flat Panels can’t even compare against.

The LG PZ550 Plasma 3D TV is also 3D capable, so that means you are still getting the perks that other Plasma TV has but of course at an affordable price.  The LG PZ550 Plasma 3D TV also has the Picture Wizard for automatic display calibration which is suited for those casual users that don’t have that keen eye for adjusting color depth of the display panel.

The LG PZ550 Plasma 3D TV has the Netcast Entertainment access, a feature that is similar to the Smart TV function but is unique on its own.

So folks, visitors and readers, if you are on the budget, don’t fret, you still would be able to enjoy the gadgets and appliances that you dream about, you just need to know where to find it and which one is it. The LG PZ550 Plasma 3D TV can live up on it which is why we really recommend the unit specially for those who wants to get the best out of their budget, not to mention that the LG PZ550 Plasma 3D TV is a crowd favorite among the LG Plasma TV’s to date because of its affordable price but not sacrificing the features in the process.

    Ever since the dawn on Internet information I have been the kind of person that always checks out feedback on users

    regarding the product that Im about to purchase and then reconsider my thoughts all over depending on the feedback

    that I would be able to read. The same thing that I did for the LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV. I mean, I have already

    reconsidered other brands too like Samsung, Panasonic, Sony, Sharp and Toshiba, even Pioneer is on my list, but then

    I chose the LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV over other competitors and here are some reasons why…

    1) The 60 inch screen size. The bigger the better for me. But good thing that its height would fit perfectly for my

    TV Rack. Not too small, not too tall either.
    2) 3D Capability isn’t really my thing, but I consider it the icing on the cake… And the HDTV Gizmo team is

    right… Future Proof!
    3) The LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV, though considered a Plasma TV is still not that really thick, which would also mean

    that it is not that heavy too.
    4) LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV is obviously a Plasma. Architecturally, its bigger and thicker compared to the current LCD

    and LED TV Panels available in the market, but hey, the high refresh rate would throw the LCD and LED Competition out

    of the picture.

    The LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV was the perfect choice in the end since the features and specs of any other plasma unit

    won’t matter unless it would physically fit on the space that it would be in. In other words, the size would be the

    one to dictate what hdtv should I buy. 3D did not even matter if it wasn’t for the kids at home. As I have said it

    was just the icing on the cake, though I admit that when we were already shopping for the flat panels, we were amazed

    with the 3D content being advertised. Regarding the architecture, well its not as thick as Plasma TV were before. the

    LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV is a product of the current technology, way beyond a few years back when LCD and LED were

    king of thinness and lightweight. Nowadays, saying that Plasma TV’s are thick and heavy are fairy what we can say and

    old mentality already. For those looking for a debate regarding the Plasma vs LED vs LCD, well the lists of pros and

    cons can just go on forever, each has its own flaws, the thing is its all in the eye of the beholder. Remember when

    buying HDTVs, your eyes won’t lie to you, ever. That is why it is recommended to audition first before buying as much

    as possible, but if you cant then that is where these kind of reviews are here for.

    Comparing the LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV against its higher tier models on the same brand LG PZ950 and LG PZ750, you’d

    really see the difference, like the absence of THX, but its no biggie at all, the player can just deliver it right if

    you have the correct setup. Unless people at your home are audiophiles, then this is useless. TruBlack Filter is also

    not present, but if you would put it in a room that is not that bright or not against a window then you would not

    really need this TruBlack Feature. SmartTV is not really a biggie too even if it was absent, heck my player can just

    handle that absence. Even the Sony Playstation 3 can give your access to Netflix and other sites like Youtube if you

    have got the internet connection. Magic Motion Remote, another icing on the cake. As if you would always gonna use

    it. Heck, even my current Remote Control on my room that has the Light Function is useless unless I watch stuff in

    the dark. So you see, the LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV would really live up and stack up against its higher models if you

    would really took time to look into every feature being advertised.

    In the end my recommendation would go for the LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV big time! You see folks, I am not even using

    the LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV fully along with its features. The speakers on mine aren’t even being used because I am

    using the Receiver to give me the extra oomph sound, ATV is not used too since my set top box is connected to the

    hdmi which takes care of changing channels, I dont even use its internet capability since my players such as the Sony

    Playstation 3 does the job on connecting to the internet.

    Audio Return Channel is also present in the LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV, also known as ARC. It is the one being used by

    current hdtv and hometheater that supports it that would not need the audio rca cable just to get the audio of the LG

    60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV to go to the Receivers, instead the HDMI 1.4b would easily handle the audio flawlessly. I

    remember having the Samsung Panel on my other room which has the RCA Jack for the audio out so that I could just be

    able to blast the sound to the receiver from the Samsung LCD TV. Now the LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV speakers are totally

    unused since all the audio now comes out from tv to the Home Theater Speakers.

    ooh, that is rather an exhaustive but very useful review you have got there Marcus!

    Hi HDTV Gizmo Team specially to Ms. Jade! Anyway, thanks for this review, I just recently bought the LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV as my Panasonix TH-58PZ700 just retired and needed a quick replacement since I would really need something to watch to because its already in the Playoffs in NBA. Thanks to your review, I am now enjoying this LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV.

    I really liked the LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV and the look and quality it brings. Comparing it to older Plasma TV’s the LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV is thinner than you can imagine, plus factor is that it is already a lot more lighter, much lighter than my old and smaller Panasonic TV. I really love its display and the picture quality, rating it from 1 to 10 being 10 as the highest, Imma give it 11! Perfect for the living room of my home.

    Home Theater setup that I have with my LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV are the following

    * Onkyo TX-NR905 Reciever (HDMI 1.3 4-in, 1-out)
    * Onkyo DV-BD606 Blu-ray Player
    * Sony Playstation 3
    * Xbox 360
    * Nintendo Wii
    * Comcast DVR (Motorola DCX3400)
    * Samsung Upscaling DVD Player.

    The following worked rather fine on the old Panny, but with my new setup with the LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV, I got some surprising results!

    * Comcast playback and Onkyo Blu-ray playback are seamless and without any hiccups at all when syncing with my current receiver.
    * Xbox 360 rather had some bad times with my new LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV, there has got to be something that my TV and my Xbox 360 that does not fit into. I guess its due to the HDMI Settings or such. But its no biggie since I was able to resort into using the optical output and component for the Xbox 360 to work with the LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV.
    * PS3 worked, no surprise here, the system is built to play on just any flat panels you throw it into. Superb! Picture quality form PS3 to my LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV is utterly crystal clear.

    For the 3D experience, I have two pairs of AG-S250 3D glasses. They look great, aren’t too heavy but not that light either and seem to have great battery life, somewhere around 5 hours non stop. I dont know if it is good or not but what I know is that it s long enough to last you through to 2 3D MOvies.

    I may say there is still some room for improvement when it comes to playing PS3 games in 3D. Or maybe it has got something to do with competing brands working together since I was able to auditions a Sony PS3 on a Sony Bravia and it was clear and great but comparing it to the LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV well, there would be some double imaging and something like that in the display.

    The picture wizard is user friendly and was handy specially for users that don’t know the ins and outs of the LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV specially to those non geeky people. Calibrating would not be a pain anymore.That’s it for now. I’ll upload some photos later in the week.

    I really recommend the LG 60PZ550 PLASMA 3D TV, folks this is something that is worth taking a second look!
